Carrefour about its new hypermarket concept at the 14th Become Shopologue event

Carrefour is breathing new life into its hypermarkets. The concept stores in Bierges (9000 m2) and Lier (5000 m2) are a sign of the direction the retailer wishes to take.
“We have let ourselves be guided by insights into shopper behaviour,” says Prosper Cambré from Carrefour. “We know the drivers of shopper behaviour in our supermarkets and hypermarkets. For example, the fresh produce section is central to the supermarket. Carrefour has 57 hypermarkets, which represent 11 percent of the market share in Belgium.
